About Mastiff Studios
Thanks for taking some time to learn about me. I have an amazing life in which I spend a majority of it working in art. I am a high school art teacher and professional artist. I enjoy creating pieces that express ideas, theories, emotions, and concepts.
I am a Colorado native and enjoy many of the activities that are offered, but I do not ski. I fall down mountains. I have a passion for the mastiff dog, especially the Old English Mastiff and the Bull-mastiff. They are unbelievably sweet.
As a fine artist, it is my goal to create pieces that will add beauty and promote thought When I create, I often reference a variety of art techniques and styles. Most often you will see Art Nouveau, Op Art, and Expressionist influences. I have found those movements to be very influential to my work. I have a number of artists that I admire a great deal. Two of my favorites would be Rubens and Flack. Rubens drawing of his wife is simply amazing. With just a few marks and a swipe of chalk, he captures her lively personality. Audrey Flack is a woman who tells the most amazing stories in her work. I have always found Wheel of Fortune fascinating.
