Cherubim is an illustrated piece I created from the description of a being from the bible. I created this image as a request from someone to see what it may look like. After reading a description from Ezekiel, I edited down the description and took quite a bit of artistic license. In the biblical description there were four faces coming from one head, a lion, eagle, an ox, and a man, and there were three sets of wings. I created a hybrid form of a lion and a man. If you look at the figure, the hands are flattened with claws as are the toes, the pose is one of movement, and the face is a mesh of man and beast. I integrated Greko-Roman stylized clothing as that what is usually accepted as what an angel would wear.
